Hobgoblin Groove

Wychwood Brewery approached us earlier this year to spearhead their new emarketing strategies in ways which would engage their consumers. As part of this wider strategy the Hobgbolin groove viral app was born as a cheeky online offering in-keeping with the brands maverick approach.

The application lets consumers customise a humorous animated dance sequence of the Hobgoblin with their own faces to send to friends and family. Engaging with the brands passionate loyalist following was seen as key to inspiring new recruitment. It's great fun and a great motivator. The success of the campaign was not to reinvent the wheel but just to look at a new take on how to play with it. The campaign is currently receiving high volumes of interest with thousands of users sending their grooves to family and friends as well posting their dance links on their Facebook profiles.
