So what’s going to be new for 2011 in the world of web? Here’s my top five predictions, let me know what you think too.

1. Acknowledging the physical world. Just like the Wii has remembered that we’re physical creatures the web will also start to do the same with some clever online/offline combinations as the obsession with automation calms down.

2. We’ll begin to see more sites which are smart and entertaining adverts rather than info dumps as companies start to see their online presence more from the consumers perspective.

3. Websites will become more concise as the marketing world becomes more confident in using the online medium.

4. Much more video, but that’s an easy one to see!

5. Strategy, Strategy, Strategy, this has happened in 2010 which has been great to see but I think all clients will increasingly want to know how to stimulate and convert traffic rather than looking at just building a pretty site.

Ahhh the worlds running out of IP addresses!

Scary headline but true, as everyone scrambles to get a web presence we’re not far of running out of the current IPv4 IP addresses. So should everyone panic, is the web world about to end?

You don’t need to stock up on tins of baked beans just yet. IPv6 IP’s are available but the IT world is typically waiting until the disaster is upon us before taking decisive action (think ie6). It will be a last minute swap with costs which will be passed onto the consumer.

What we should really worry about is the overdue shift in the earths magnetic poles which will bake all of our technology with the solar radiation, we’re doomed!

It has some great advise and articles on exercise/diet etc. Having worked closely with personal trainer and owner Andy it's clear that us button pushers need some serious work if we want to become as body beauty full as the site itself!

As we get further into the emarketing plans for Marstons and Hobgoblin beer the latest release 'the Hobgoblin groove' has really upped the ante. Upload your head onto the hobgoblins body and watch him bust some crazy moves. Send it to your friends to make their own and hey presto, we're viral! It's gone down well with the Marstons marketing team as a new and forwarding thinking approach to engaging with their consumers for brand recruitment.

DSE video shoot

We were out and about in Filey filming the DSE corp video last week. Really got to grips with some new equipment and got a great vibe from the DSE team. Looking forward to adding the 3D graphic sequences and seeing the first edits in due course. We cant wait to take the client up on their generous offer of a night out on the town with the management team.

The great days out Continental tires website has just been awarded ‘Industry Advertising Campaign’ for best use of promotional material by the NTDA (National Tyre Distributors Association) at the Tyre and Fast Fit (TAFF) Awards. Well done to everyone involved!

KKI CD-ROM

Building on the success of the new KKI corporate website released earlier this year we have just completed a newly commissioned CD-ROM which is currently being distributed at all international industry fairs. The production combines both a appealing aesthetic whilst delivering real-value aids to prospective clients.
